Middle Class

When elected, I’ll fight to restore small business growth in Southwestern Colorado, by implementing incentives for starting new businesses and strengthening existing family businesses, the backbone of the middle class.

Economists define the middle class as a family of three with an income between $42,000 and $125,000 a year.

For me, the middle class is an idea, a dream that most of us share about our future that is financially secure and stable. Unfortunately, this dream is slipping away for most of us, particularly in rural Colorado.  Stable jobs that used to sustain a family of four are hard to find. Wages for the few jobs that remain have stagnated while costs have skyrocketed.

I wonder if we will be the first generation that passes on less on to our kids then we received. We need a representative  who understands the needs of rural Colorado and will fight for the middle class dream.
